After the Pool
Four ways to turn a glossy one-piece into clothing—by giving the shine something quieter to live beside.
A one-piece already does the work of a fitted top: it gives the torso a clean, uninterrupted line. With LEOHEX, that line also catches light. The easiest styling rule is therefore restraint. Let one glossy area lead, then build the rest of the outfit in matte, familiar textures.
One-piece + wide trousers + blazer
Black tailoring frames a bright suit; denim-blue or grey softens a black one. The trouser waist hides the leg opening, while an open jacket controls how much surface is visible.
High neck + pleated skirt + sneakers
The racing neckline and short pleat share a sports vocabulary. Keep socks, shoes and bag simple so the reflective fabric remains the focus.
Long sleeve + relaxed denim + boots
Denim gives gloss a rough, everyday counterpoint. A long sleeve carries the colour above the waistband and reads more like a fitted top.
Black bodysuit + sheer layer + coat
Transparency and shine can coexist when the palette stays narrow. An oversized coat makes the level of exposure adjustable.
Gloss works best with a supporting cast
If the one-piece is silver, blue or pink, keep most layers neutral. If it is black, create separation with wool, cotton, denim or a soft leather. Matching every accessory to the same reflective finish can flatten the hierarchy; one lead surface is usually stronger.
A catsuit changes the equation
A full catsuit is already a complete silhouette. Add outerwear rather than another base: a cropped jacket breaks the long line, an oversized coat reveals it in motion, and simple boots provide an endpoint. Avoid abrasive straps rubbing repeatedly over the surface.
If the coverage names are confusing, use Catsuit, Bodysuit or Unitard? before choosing the base garment.
Start with one contrast—tight and loose, gloss and matte, athletic and tailored. Stop when the outfit has a clear centre. That is often the difference between wearing a statement piece and being worn by it.
